Research Task 1: television advertising forms

1   Realist Narrative : a advert that can be seen as real life or something that could happen in the real world

this advert has a realist narrative as it shows kids doing things such as getting dirty helping out with the cooking and getting messy and shows how the mum removes the mess as this is something that happens in real life.

2  Anti-realist-narrative: a advert that doesn't look or isn't real this is things such as people flying around with wings or with cartoon characters

this advert is a anti- realist- narrative as things like this would never happen in day to day life of people turning into chocolate once they put on this chocolate smelling deodorant.

3  Animation: animation are hand drawn or computer drawn images that may resemble famous characters or recognisable brand characters to get a promotion from them which means kids are more likely to ask for this for there parents to buy. as well as this depending on that  character that is used for a promotion will affect what the parents think especially if its not family friendly they will be less likely to buy it. the animation can either be 3D or 2D animation as when animated they often have a certain style to suit the advert or product they are promoting

4  Documentary
documentary adverts are adverts that give facts or information through the way of audio and visuals by the word of mouth giving us insight to what the documentaries topic is but in the case of adverts it is often just to make people emotive and invest into a charity or group to help others

5  Talking heads- where the talker looks directly into the camera this to directly talk to the audience to make them feel emotive as it feels like direct address towards the audience or people at home to make them feel more invested.

6  Series- this where the adverts are continues and relate to the last one or all follow a theme with each advert using the same actors and the same setting as the previous one and some times each follow the same story
